Tap the heart button for the full device-supported offline emoji catalogue. Browse nine categories, long-press a person or hand for skin tones, and choose the clock category for Recents. The magnifier opens offline English/Traditional Chinese keyword search; type a query and tap Search. Quick candidates can compose Chinese search terms. Queries stay out of your document. Tap ABC to return to typing. Newer emoji depend on the device font; Apple stickers and Memoji are not included.

At full width, the iPad keyboard adds a number row, Tab, Caps Lock, side punctuation, two Shift keys and a hide-keyboard button, with portrait/landscape proportions. Narrow and floating keyboards use the compact layout. Chinese punctuation is available through 123 → 中符; #+= opens the extra symbols page.

Type letters normally and press Space to keep English. For Chinese, enter a Quick / 速成 code and select a candidate. For example, enter hi and select 我. Capitalized codes work too.

The keyboard includes 53,548 offline Chinese words and phrases, including the public-domain words.hk word list. Select 電 to see 腦, or 香 to see 港. Six suggestions fit in one row; arrows show more. Personal learning starts empty and takes priority after the same Chinese sequence is selected in two completed runs. Only Chinese selected through M-G Keyboard is learned; existing or pasted documents are not imported.

Long-press it and choose the removal option. To erase all local learning, delete the app rather than offloading it, then reinstall and re-enable the keyboard.

After typing at least three English letters, tap a spelling suggestion to correct the current word. There are four suggestions per page. Automatic correction is off by default: enable it with the keyboard gear. Space then applies a clear correction; immediately tap Delete to restore the original spelling and remove the space. Pressing Space again keeps the restored spelling. These features work offline.

Hold Delete to erase repeatedly. Hold Space and slide left or right to move the cursor. Tap either key briefly for its ordinary action.

This is intentional. Punctuation returns to the letter page; digits stay on the number page. Reopen the symbols page to type another punctuation mark. Automatic capitalization follows the text field’s settings, and you can override it with Shift.

M-G Keyboard requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or later and supports iPhone and iPad. The host app and iOS control which keyboards are allowed and what surrounding text is available. Phrase suggestions do not include general English prediction or full-sentence AI generation.
